Joanneum Racing Graz : Going into Season 23/24

We at Joanneum Racing Graz are a Formula Student team with a proven track record of success. Comprised of engineering, design, and business students from the FH JOANNEUM University of Applied Sciences, the team consistently pushes the boundaries of automotive innovation.

Our Successes in Season 22/23

The previous season saw significant achievements for us. In our second year competing in the EV class, we achieved a first-place finish at Formula Student Netherlands with a record-breaking score. Additionally, Joanneum Racing Graz set a world record in the Skidpad event at Formula Student Austria, further demonstrating both technical prowess and competitive spirit.

Building upon this momentum, we embody our motto “Never Stop Pushing” by focusing on continuous improvement. Our goal is to refine designs, optimize performance, and secure future podium positions at the highest levels of the Formula Student competition.

Eurocircuits: Our Partner in Innovation

The transition to electric powertrains presented unique challenges. Eurocircuits proved to be an invaluable partner in this endeavor. Their expertise in the manufacturing of printed circuit boards (PCBs) was critical in ensuring our electronic systems met the demanding standards of the competition. Eurocircuits’ commitment to quality, reliability, and rapid turnaround times allowed us to optimize performance and stay on track with our ambitious development schedule.

Goal 2024: AMS Development

A core objective this year was the development of an Accumulator Management System (AMS). This critical system ensures optimal battery health, safety, and performance. The AMS consists of one Master PCB, 10 Slave PCBs, and 10 Bus-Bar PCBs.
